So how does this whole therapy thing work?
1. Consultation
Let’s talk! The consultation is a free 15-minute phone call where I’ll give you an overview of the process, answer any questions, and we can decide together if I am the right therapist for you. I know it’s scary to reach out for help, so I’ve made it easy for you to fill out a quick online form that doesn’t require you to make any phone calls! Then when it’s time for the consultation, I’ll call you so we can chat. Click below to schedule your consultation.
2. Therapy Sessions
Once we’ve decided to work together we will schedule your first therapy session. After your first session, we can continue meeting weekly, biweekly, or monthly based on your needs. There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to do therapy, so come in just as you are, and we’ll figure out the rest together.
3. Transformation
My goal is for you to walk away from therapy sessions having learned something new. It could be a new understanding about yourself, a new coping skill, a new way to do something, a new way of viewing the world, or anything in between. Therapy sessions are unique to each individual and I don’t engage in any “one size fits all” approach. For that reason, I’m not able to tell you how many sessions you’ll need to attend to reach your goals, as it will vary from person to person. I can tell you that when you’re ready to move forward on your own, I will help you transition out of therapy.
