Therapy for Young Adults
Online support in California
Are you struggling with all this adulting stuff?
Let’s face it, most of us enter adulthood and have no clue what we’re doing. There seems to be this unspoken expectation that you somehow know how to do all the adulting things simply because you turn a certain age. But realistically, how are we supposed to know how to adult if we were never taught?
Some of us are taught basic skills like cleaning, hygiene, and how to make top ramen, but what about the life skills needed to live independently. Like how to nail the interview and get that high-paying job, how to save money to buy your own condo, how to navigate relationships and this whole adult dating scene, how to work up the courage to ask your boss for a raise or promotion, and what is this credit score that people keep talking about?!
“How come everyone has their life figured out, but I don’t?”
So in the process of trying to figure out all the life skills that you were never taught, you find yourself feeling stressed and overwhelmed because those are only a few things on the seemingly never-ending list of things you’re “supposed” to be doing as an adult.
You’re probably thinking, how am I going to learn all these new things while also trying to balance work, keep in touch with friends, family, and significant others, keep up with self-care, and oh ya, find time to eat and sleep somewhere in there too.
I want to help you adult with confidence.
Let’s help you find a balance so you can figure out all this adulting stuff with enough time and energy left over to actually enjoy your life! Whether that’s making time for Netflix and Chill, going out with friends on a Friday night, traveling, or going on weekend hikes with your dog, I want you to be able to do the things that bring you joy!
You are meant to do more than just eat, sleep, work, and pay bills. So how about we help you get a handle on all of this adulting stuff, so you can go out and enjoy your life. YOLO!

Common questions about therapy for young adults

My approach to therapy is a collaborative style where we work together to make sense of things in your life, work through challenges you’re having, and create a path towards a future you can be excited about. You can come in with something specific to talk about, or you can come in not knowing what to talk about, and I will help you figure it out. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to do therapy. So please just show up exactly as you are (wearing sweats, with snacks, wrapped in a blanket, or anything in between) and we’ll figure out the rest together.

Therapy with me is flexible to fit not only your needs, but also your budget! I offer sessions weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly. Sessions are virtual through Zoom, which allows for flexibility in scheduling therapy around your busy schedule. If you’re not sure how often you need to come, that’s okay, I can help you figure it out. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and while of course you’re worth the investment, I know that it can be expensive. So, there is no obligation to how often you come, I just ask that you communicate with me so we are both on the same page and you can get the most out of our time together.

No, going to therapy does not mean there’s something wrong with you! Think of therapy as a place to get feedback, support, and guidance from a professional who wants to help you grow into the best version of yourself! Many of us struggle with feeling overwhelmed and doubting ourselves, but it’s not something that’s frequently talked about in everyday life. Therapy is a place where we can talk about all of those things in order to help you make sense of them and learn how to handle them better. You don’t have to struggle all by yourself, let’s work through it together!
