Therapy for College Students
Online support in California
Is college not going the way you thought?
So you graduate high school and start college feeling a little nervous, but mostly excited to finally be more independent and have FREEDOM! College is supposed to be fun, or at least that’s what people say, but you’re feeling so stressed and overwhelmed that you think you must be doing something wrong.
“How come everyone else has it all together, except me?”
Next comes the overthinking part where you analyze EVERYTHING and you find yourself in this spiral of thoughts that have you questioning yourself, your abilities, and whether you’ll be able to handle college and all the responsibilities of adulting.
This overthinking creates so much fear and self-doubt that now you’re struggling to keep up with all the things on your to-do list.
Struggling for you might look like:
Feeling unmotivated to do things (even things you typically enjoy)
Having a hard time focusing
Finding yourself constantly overthinking or worrying
Having trouble sleeping
Feeling low energy and constantly tired for seemingly “no reason”
Being overly sensitive to little things
And feeling like you just can’t seem to catch a break…
Now, not only are you worried about getting through college, you’re worried about your bills, social life, career path, and what you’re going to do after you finish college.
You’re probably thinking, how am I going to do all of this by myself?
I want to help you do more than just survive college.
Let’s help you find a balance where you can get good grades and keep up on your errands and responsibilities, while also having time to take care of yourself and actually have fun and enjoy college!
You are meant to do more than just study! So how about we help you learn about yourself and figure out this whole adulting thing together.
How can therapy help me?
So of course I can help you manage stress, keep up your grades, and give you tips for how to get through those all-nighter study sessions.
I can also help you:
Reduce stress, overwhelm, and overthinking (bye Felicia!)
Improve the relationship with yourself (hello self-love!)
Learn how to set healthy boundaries (leave the guilt behind!)
Gain confidence, compassion, and self-love (psst…. It’s already inside you!)
Identify who you are and where you want to go (so many options!)
Learn to trust yourself and your ability to adult confidently (you got this!)
…or anything else that will help you grow into the confident, capable adult I know you can be.
Ready to break free from the stress and self-doubt that’s weighing you down?
Let’s do this together.

While I’m sure we will talk about school in some capacity, we can absolutely focus sessions on whatever it is that you want to talk about such as family, relationships, work, identity, sleep, past events, future events, hopes, dreams, fears, and everything in between. Also, if you aren’t sure what you want to talk about, please just show up and we will figure out the rest together.

While some colleges offer on-campus therapy for mental health, often you are limited to a small number of sessions per semester. Mental health therapy through college is typically intended to be short-term to help you be successful in school, so many colleges will refer you to a long-term therapist (like me) if there are things you want to work on that exceed the limited number of sessions they offer.
